- 3DEqualizer4 R3b1
Dear Friends of 3DE!
Today we lift the curtain on a new major release - 3DE4 R3 beta 1. As with every new major release new license keys are needed, so please renew your support contract (if you haven't already) and request your upgrade keys asap!
Here are the new features of this first beta version:
- we added a new infrastructure for calculating dynamic parameter curves such as focal length (zooming), focus distance and interocular distance. It represents a very robust approach, which even comes to good results when only a low number of points are available (minimum: 4 survey or 6 survey free points).
- There is a new tutorial which describes the new features in detail:
3DEqualizer4 [advanced] - Zooming - we implemented a new dynamic distortion mode which allows to control distortion through focus distance (instead of focal length). With this new feature anamorphic "lens breathing" artifacts finally can be addressed!
- 3DE's overview controls provides a new render caching feature which stores rendered frames in its image buffers. This allows to have realtime playback for any kind of shot, regardless of its complexity - such as high-density lidar geometry rendered with motionblur in stereo anaglyph!
In addition, there is a python interface which allows to save out rendered frames to disk in full quality. - we added a new frame offset feature, allowing to define the actual number of a camera's first frame.
